Cory and Chelsea asked me to come visit them in Lafayette, IN last week to document their engagement. I was so excited. I have never been to the Purdue campus but have seen so many pictures since I had a handful of friends who went there for college, it's always been on my list of places to photograph...and now that I have, I must go back! We lucked out and had fantastic weather which was the icing on the cake for this session...you see Chelsea rides horses and Cory recently took it up as well so they wanted to do part of their session at the farm they take lessons at. When she mentioned this my heart exploded. Photographers LOVE when clients choose to have their pictures taken at places that are 1. Unique and outside the box and 2. Personal to them! We ended up at the farm just as the sun was setting and it was heavenly! The horses were so friendly, I had never experienced anything like it! It was incredible...but then I couldn't believe I was asking the horses to leave us alone haha. They were so friendly that they wanted to be right up in your face and they were making it a challenge...but as I've always said, magic happens when you challenge yourself! And magic sure did happen, because this is one of my favorite sessions to date.

I went to high school with Cory but never exactly knew him. We had a lot of mutual friends though and now I know why...Being around him and Chelsea came naturally and was like being among life long friends and I can see why so many people liked him! I could have stayed and taken their pictures forever!
