This past Saturday I got to spend the day with Tony and Janelle capturing their wedding day! It also kicked off my 2015 wedding season and lets just say...it kicked it off with a BANG! It was a beautiful January day...sunny blue skies and warm...well warm compared to a normal Indiana winter day!

I met up with Janelle and her bridesmaids at the Hilton hotel downtown Fort Wayne and hung out with them as they finished getting ready before we headed over to the church for the ceremony. They were all so relaxed and calm. Janelle was a dream bride to work with, she was incredibly organized and put her trust in me to deliver her beautiful images. I hope I did just that!

Once the girls were all dressed we headed across the street to Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for the ceremony. I absolutely LOVE shooting here. It is such a stunning church with so much detail and these absolutely amazing vaulted ceilings.

By the time the ceremony was finished the sun was setting and the light was so beautiful in front of the church, so while we waited for the trolley to arrive I snapped a few Tony and Janelle. I'm still in shock at how beautiful this day was...

I rode around Fort Wayne in the trolley with the wedding party for a little while before we stopped at the University of St Francis for wedding portraits. This is another one of my favorite locations to shoot and its where Tony and Janelle...and I...went to college! I wish I had known them back then, they're a lot of fun to hang out with and I'm sad they moved away! Anyway...

The reception was held at the old Scottish Rite, which is now owned by the University of St Francis. Tony and Janelle went all out on decorating and it was totally worth it, check out some of the details! One thing I really want to point out is the use of uplighting. Not only does it look fab and add an amazing ambiance to your venue but it looks awesome in photos, check it out!
